Aromatherapy Qualifications
She graduated from the Joanna Hoare Institute of Aromatherapy (U.K.) in 1996 and passed the International Federation of Aromatherapy U.K. (IFA) Diploma examination with a Distinction. She was a member of the IFA and International Federation of Professional Aromatherapist (IFPA) and was Aromatherapy Organisation Council (AOC) Registered. She has also graduated from a higher education in Advance Aromatherapy from Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy with a Distinction and has been under the mentorship of Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt since 2002.
Manual Lymph Drainage Qualifications
She also graduated from Dr.Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage & Combined Decongestive Therapist with the highest qualification in 2006 and is now a specialist in Lymphoedema Therapy who works mainly with Cancer patients in post treatment care.
Remedial Massage Therapy Qualifications
She graduated from ESTT College of Natural Medicine (Melbourne, Australia) in 2002 after a 3 year study in Health Science, also a Queensland, Australia state recognized Remedial Massage Therapist she graduated from Health Schools Australia in 2005 specializing in muscular-skeletal disorders with a special interest in back and shoulder problems.
Professional Work History
She has been a full time Clinical Aromatherapist since 1996 and a Lymphoedema Therapist since 2006. Had a retail consultancy at the Changi General Hospital Pharmacy for 1½ years in 1999. Since 1999 she had been teaching weekly at the Marine Parade Community Club for 6 years and now at the main school in Serangoon Garden. She has been conducting Aromatherapy workshops for corporations like (IBM 2004, TNT 2004), hospital (CGH in 1999) private groups (SMU 2005) schools (Tao Nan Primary 1999) and other associations (Bizlink 2006, Pentacost Methodist 2006).
She is the Singapore Representative for Health Schools Australia (Queensland, Australia) since 2005 and Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy (USA) since 2006 and runs their school’s curriculum in Singapore on their behalf as their satellite tutor.
She currently tries to raise the level of awareness on Lymphoedema by holding free education seminars to private groups and associations. She also organizes seminars for guest International Speakers in an effort to improve the standards of learning of our local students in an effort to bridge their education in this area.
